Police are investigating after a break-and-enter in North Perth last week.Last Thursday, Perth County OPP investigated a break-and-enter at a business on Main Street in North Perth. Someone gained entry to the business, and once inside, several Milwaukee tools were stolen. The estimated value of stolen items is $1500. Police are continuing to investigate. Emergency services and Union Gas Technicians were called to the scene of a crash on Stone School Line in Central Huron last week. An SUV collided with a gas meter close to a home, causing considerable damage to the meter. Police spoke to the driver, and found they were under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested, and later refused to comply with a demand for a breath sample. A 45-year-old from Central Huron was charged with Fail to Comply, and their driver’s licence was taken for 90 days. The accused was released, with a court appearance scheduled for June 19th in Goderich. ——- ——- A 34-year-old was charged with stunt driving in West Perth. Perth County OPP has charged a Huron County driver speeding more than 50km/h over the limit in West Perth. A vehicle was stopped on Line 32 in West Perth, travelling 133km/h in an 80 zone. A 34-year-old from Huron County was charged with stunt driving, along with a 30-day driving suspension and two-week vehicle impoundment. The accused is scheduled to appear at court in Stratford on June 13.
