A 24 year old from Kitchener is facing possession charges, after police found drugs during a R.I.D.E. check.
Early Sunday morning, Wellington County OPP were conducting a R.I.D.E. program on Highway 6 when officers investigated the driver of a motor vehicle that entered into the checkpoint.
Police spoke with the driver and detected an odour of alcohol on their breath. The driver failed a Roadside Screening Device test. Police located a small tin containing ecstasy in the vehicle as well. Further investigation revealed that the accused was also breaching conditions of a court document.
24 year old Jonathan BRETT-CARRILLO of Kitchener faces a number of possession and impaired related charges.
