With Phase 3 of reopening the province on the way for Friday, Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health’s Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Nicola Mercer, has updated her Section 22 Order on the use of face coverings in commercial establishments. Changes include:
- Clarifying language around exemptions to the Order to make sure Commercial Establishments and members of the public know when face coverings are not required.
- An expanded list of Commercial Establishments consistent with the Provincial Government’s Stage 3 Reopening Announcement.
In a media release yesterday, Dr. Mercer says “Moving to Stage 3 is a positive sign that we are making progress against this virus, But, it doesn’t mean the pandemic is over. We must continue to balance health protection with economic progress in order to continue moving forward together.”
