STATUS OF SPLASH PADS IN WELLINGTON NORTH

Temperatures are expected to rise again this week to the high 20s, low thirties but don’t count on our local splash pads to cool off JUST yet.

While Stage 2 of Ontario’s Framework for Reopening the province DOES allow for outdoor splash pads to reopen, it will take some time for the township to get these ready.

In a media release, Wellington North says the recreation team are working to develop signage and disinfection procedures, underscoring the importance of public and employee safety, prior to the opening of the splash pads in Arthur and Mount Forest. As such, the splash pads in Arthur and Mount Forest will not be open until further notice, but the team is working towards having these recreation facilities open by June 26.
