A message from the Mount Forest Family Health Team

To all our patients

Our goal at this time is to reduce the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus and we need your help to do so.  If you have a cough, fever or shortness of breath, please stay home. We are practicing Social Distancing to help protect our patients, staff and physicians.  To help with this, the physicians and family health team have cancelled all recurring programs and group sessions.  These include but are not limited to the Blood Pressure Clinic, Healthy You, Boosting Balance, Pulmonary Rehab, Alzheimer’s Support Group, Cancer Support Group, etc.

Also, we will be calling patients with scheduled appointments to screen for COVID-19 symptoms before their upcoming appointments. Any appointment that does not require face to face interaction will be changed to a telephone consultation or virtual visit using other technology. Appointments for in person services that can be postponed will be rescheduled for example appointments for immunizations or prenatal screening when patients are healthy and not at high risk. If your appointment is not urgent, please consider rescheduling to a later date. At this time, the focus for all of us is on reducing the spread of the virus as much as possible. Continue to practice social distancing, wash your hands or use hand sanitizer, avoid touching your face, mouth and nose, and stay home if you have any symptoms of an illness that can be passed on to others.

We know at this time there are numerous questions and concerns. We are still here to assist you with your health and offer answers to the questions you may have. Please phone the clinic as needed. Your health and safety continues to be our main concern.
