In an effort to raise the awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and men’s suicide, the Milverton 4 Wheel Drives Senior Men’ Hockey Team will be wearing special jerseys at the home game on Friday November 1 in support of the Movember Movement. The Drives will be hosting Shelburne Huskies at 8:30 pm at the Perth East Recreation Complex.
The jerseys will be worn for the November 1 game and then during warm up for all other home games in November. The names on the jerseys will acknowledge family or friends of the players and executive who they are supporting or remembering. Some of the players and executive will also be growing a “Mo” (moustache) and seeking donations for the Movember Foundation.
Since 2003 Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
“We exist to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives – this is what drives every single one of our 1,250 men’s health projects.”
Donations will be accepted that the admissions table and will be sent to the Movember Foundation.
