Gas Drive-offs Connected to Stolen Vehicle

SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP – Police believe a string of gas drive-offs may be connected to a stolen vehicle.
The reports of a drive offs have occurred in the Township of Southgate and the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Authorities say a stolen pick-up truck from Hanover is involved.
On Sunday, around 2:52 p.m., Grey County OPP received a report of a gas drive-off from the Esso Gas Station located on Main Street East in Dundalk.
The unidentified male pumped $94.00 of fuel into a burgundy Dodge RAM pickup truck and left without paying for the gas. While investigating the theft, police received information regarding a stolen pick-up truck from Hanover. The stolen truck matched the description of the truck used in the gas drive-off in Dundalk.
Around the same time the next day on Monday, at approximately 2:53 p.m., Grey County OPP received a report of another gas drive-off from the Springmount Esso on Highway 6 and 21. 
The unidentified male pumped $57.00 of gas into a burgundy Dodge RAM pick-up truck and left without any effort to pay for the fuel.
Police believe the same vehicle was used in both gas drive-offs.
The investigation is ongoing.
