SOUTHGATE – OPP are stressing the importance of safety gear while operating chainsaws. Police responded to a residence in Dundalk on Friday, after receiving a report of male who suffered a non life threatening injury due to a chainsaw mishap.
While cutting a tree on his property, the male cut his leg because of the kick back of the saw. The 25-year old victim was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
Both the Grey County Paramedics (EMS) and the Dundalk Fire Department assisted at the scene are reminding residents to exercise caution when operating chainsaws this summer.
