HARRISTON – Wellington OPP are investigating a possible link between two fires in Harriston.
The first case of arson happened early Friday morning around 2:00 a.m at Harry Stone’s Bar and Grill. Someone set fire to the outdoor patio set. Employees were able to extinguish the blaze before it caused any serious damage.
A short time later police were called to a Break and Enter on Marklane Street in the Town of Harriston. A couch had been set on fire in the basement of the home. The person broke into the house through a basement window and purposely set fire to the couch. The complainants attempted to extinguish it with water but eventually used a fire extinguisher to put the fire out.
Police believe these fires are connected.
