Police recover stolen truck, arrest 2

GUELPH-ERAMOSA – Some good police work resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
A Wellington OPP officer was on an early morning patrol on March 26th, when around 4:40 a.m. while travelling southbound on County Road 49 in Guelph Eramosa township, the officer saw a suspicious man walking alone about 30 feet away from a pickup truck that was partially off the roadway.
The officer also observed a lone male passenger in the truck, seated in the front passenger seat. After doing a check on the truck, the officer determined it was stolen from Waterloo Region.
Both males were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime.
Charged in the incident are:
45-year-old Michael Edward Clarke of Erin, he  was held for bail and faces the following;
-Possession of an Identity Document
-Obstruct Peace Officer
-Possession of Cocaine
-Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000
-Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000 x 3
-Use of Credit Card
-Fraud under $5000
38-year-old Richard St.Amour of Mississauga has also been charged and released on a promise to appear.  He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on April 27th to answer to the following charges;
-Possession of an Identity Document
-Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5000
-Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000 x2
