Dog Attack in Township of Chatsworth

TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH – A scary greeting for a man returning to his home after a day out snowshoeing.  Grey County OPP received a call about man being attacked by three aggressive dogs on his property on Concession #A in the Township of Chatsworth.
The attack happened on February 13 around 3:30 p.m.  The man struggled to get away from the dogs because he was still wearing snow shoes when the dogs attacked him, as a result he suffered a dog bite to his leg.
As the 71 year old victim tried to drive away, the dogs jumped on his vehicle causing damage to it.  Finally the man received help after driving far enough away from the dogs.  The man was treated at the scene by Grey County Paramedics.
The Grey Bruce Public Health Unit as well as the The Township of Chatsworth Animal Control By-Law Officer were informed about the incident.
