Southgate Man Charged With Two Counts of Assault With A Weapon

SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP – OPP were called to a home on Southgate Road 10 after getting a report about a man threatening his brother with a knife.

He did not call police at this time, but did so on Wednesday when his brother again threatened to stab him holding a knife. Both incidents were unprovoked and the 69-year-old victim was injured.
Police arrested the 66-year-old Southgate man who was transported to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment pending a bail hearing scheduled for January 11, 2018.
The accused is charged with two counts of Assault with a Weapon and two counts of Utter Death Threats.
