12 year old arrest warrant stops Southgate man from leaving the country

SOUTHGATE TOWNSHIP – OPP have arrested a man who has been on the run for the past 10 years in Southgate Township.
Police were contacted by the Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday night after the man tried to leave the country. He had an outstanding arrest warrant from September 13th, 2006.
The arrest warrant was issued for 66 yar old Kim Roman of Hamilton 12 years ago after police raided a home on Southgate Road 14. Roman was charged with the production of cannabis marihuana, production of cannabis resin, and possession of cannabis marihuana over 3 kilograms for the purpose of trafficking.
On January 9, 2018, at approximately 11:00 p.m., Grey County OPP took ROMAN into their custody. He was returned to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment where he was held pending a bail hearing scheduled for January 10, 2018 in Owen Sound.
