The 11th annual Taste Real Fall Rural Romp is happening this Saturday in Wellington County.
Rompers will get a chance to taste their way through the County and Guelph on this self guided food and farm tour. They have 14 locations signed up this year, including farms, markets, a distillery and the Argicultural Research Centre.
It’s a great chance to enjoy some amazing local food samples, farm tours and buggy rides. They also have live music and plenty of fun fall themed activities for the kids.
Taste Real Coordinator Christina Mann says rompers will get to feed farm animals, try food samples, and stroll through farm fields on Saturday.
“The Rural Romp is much more than just a fun outing for the whole family. It’s a great oppurtunity to get to know some of our local farmers and food entrepreneurs, look behind the scenes and learn where our local food comes from. You’ll also discover how diverse our local agriculture is, by visiting locations like an alpaca or ostrich farm.”
Rompers are asked to share their adventures on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #RuralRomp.
