FERGUS – Police are investigating a dangerous case of mischief in Fergus.
Police say someone tampered with a car on Baker Street last Thursday. The vehicle had the nuts holding up the tires loosened. Luckily the owner of the car was able to recognize some was wrong before getting behind the wheel. Had they drove the car in this condition it could have caused a serious collision.
Wellington County OPP would like to remind the public that a vehicle, in anything less than 100% operational condition, could result in a fatally hazardous situation. Please routinely check your vehicle and ensure that no one has tampered with it. If you suspect your vehicle has been tampered with call your local police service and report it.
