Multiple Fire Code violations result in charges being laid.

OPP officers have charged a Kitchener man with 9 Fire Code violations for a building he owned near Mount Forest.
After entering a residence on Wellington Road 16 near Damascus on July 7th, officers observed what appeared to be several serious Fire Code violations.
As a result, the Wellington North Fire Service was called to respond and inspect the dwellings on the property. Upon completion of the inspection, an Immediate Threat to Life Fire Marshal notice was issued under Section 15 of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act. Ontario Hydro was then notified to disconnect the hydro to all dwellings on the property.
The property owner, Paul Death of Kitchener has been charged with 9 Fire Code Violations, including having a Grow-Op, failing to install smoke alarms on every level, and failing to install carbon monoxide detectors on every level of the dwellings.
Mr. Death will appear in Guelph Court on September 6th.
