Act of mischief could have killed in Palmerston

PALMERSTON – Wellington OPP are warning the public after a case of mischief in Palmerston could have proved fatal.
On Monday police were called after somebody loosened the passenger side tire to a car on William Street on Saturday. Luckily the owner of the car was able to catch the act of mischief before they tried to drive.
Police are treating this very seriously. Had the owner driven the car, this type of mischief could have proved fatal. Wellington OPP issued this statement on the matter:
“Wellington County OPP would like to remind the public that a vehicle, in anything less than 100% operational condition, could result in a fatally hazardous situation. Please routinely check your vehicle and ensure that no one has tampered with it. If you suspect your vehicle has been tampered with call your local police service and report it.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wellington OPP or Crime Stoppers.
