ARTHUR – The Arthur Wastewater treatment plant will be getting an upgrade after Wellington North Council awarded a contract to CIMA Canada Inc.
The project is going to cost $714,578. Over half of the cost will be covered by the Clean Water Grant and the Provincial and Federal Governments. Wellington North will be on the hook for $331,706 dollars which will come out of their reserve fund.
CIMA is currently working on a design for the upgrades and they will start construction. The entire project is expected to take nearly a year.
Wellington North chose CIMA after receiving proposals from four engineering consulting firms.
